March/April Events & Fiestas near Competa
March is a quiet month.
April is the Easter Festival weekend, (02- 04 April) where we see many moving, solemn, holy ceremonies in Churches and parades around the streets, especially in Competa, which we experienced for the first time in 2008. Even for people who are non-Christian which we met, it was a very moving experience and memory.
CANILLAS de ACEITUNO (last Sunday of April) Fiesta of the Virgen de la Cabeza and day of the Black Pudding, with degustacion and wine.
